Abstract :In this Article, I present the ideas of Professor Ubiratan D'Ambrosio on ethnomathematics, its objectives, its methodology, the relation between Ethnomathematics and Mathematics Education, the teaching ofmathematics in multicultural classroom, and his comments on a characterization of the investigation works in Ethnomathematics made in Colombia.
